Akamai: (Ah-Ka-Ma-Ee), in the Hawaiian language, means 'smart, clever or possessing savoir-faire'.

Nobody trips over mountains.  It is the small pebble that causes you to stumble.  Pass all the pebbles in your path and you will find you have crossed the mountain.  ~Author Unknown

Akamai Perm. Reg'd Rottweilers is a small hobby kennel in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.  It were established in 1999 with the purchase of our first working dog, Justice

We pride ourselves on the health and temperament of all of our dogs and as such, we make sure we complete all of their health and temperament testing before breeding any of our dogs.

We currently share our lives and our home with 4 Rotten kids;  Jewel who is our retired foundation bitch, her daughter Seeker, and Jewel's grandson Ruckus, and last but not least, our tailed-wonder, Scotia!

We are active in conformation, obedience, rally obedience and dabbling in tracking and herding.  Although we are not at a dog show every weekend, we keep our dogs active and fit and always thinking, moving and learning.

We proudly train and handle our dogs to all working titles and in doing so with very few dogs have achieved RCC Honour Roll and Hall of Fame status on 4 of them to date!

Our kennel became Perm. Reg'd with the Canadian Kennel Club in January 2010.  So what does that mean?  It means that we have fulfilled the requirements of the CKC which are 1.) we are registered members  in good standing of the CKC for more than 10 years, 2.) we have bred 5 or more dogs who have earned CKC granted titles and 3.) we have NEVER been subjected to disciplinary action by the CKC.

We are very proud of our young breeding program, this being granted to us 3 months shy of our first litter turning 5 years old and having only had bred 5 litters to that point in time!!

Our goal is to produce beautiful dogs who adhere to the Rottweiler Breed Standard but who can also adhere to the working side of the breed standard as well.  Each of our  breedings are carefully planned out, pedigrees researched so we can match dogs that can help us to best meet our goal!

We are members of the  Rottweiler Club of Canada  and adhere to the club's Code of Ethics regarding our breeding practices.

We are also members in good standing with:

Canadian Kennel Club
